Currently based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Roeqiya is a Dutch-Egyptian illustrator who graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy of Visual Arts. Inspired by Arab culture, worldly travel and nature, her marvelous scenes radiate with vibrant color, boldly mixed patterns, and strong femininity. Her artwork depicts diversity, female friendships and sisterhood. She mainly works with colored ink, markers, gouache and pencils.
